What are the specifications and dimensions of stainless steel plates?

To be more precise, what is the standard size of a stainless steel plate?

For example, typical widths of 1 mm thick stainless steel plates are 1 meter and 1,219 meters.

Typically, the size of hot rolled stainless steel plates is 1.5 meters by 6 meters (width by length).

Considering these stainless steel plate specifications, I have compiled the size specifications for common stainless steel plate (thickness, width, length):

Comments:

1. “Common, smaller and -” refer to stainless steel sheets of a certain thickness, which are common, smaller or need to be customized in the market;
2. The common specifications and sizes of steel plates with different thickness are different. “Common” means that steel sheets of this thickness and size are easier to acquire;
3. This table lists the specifications of stainless steel plates according to their thickness.

It should be noted that these steel sheet dimensions are commonly used stainless steel sheet dimensions in production and service life, not mandatory national standards.

2. Standard length and width of steel plate

1. Common dimensions (width x length) of stainless steel plates with a thickness of 1 mm or less are 1000 mm x 2000 mm and 1219 mm x 2438 mm. (These two sizes are widely available and therefore easier to purchase.)

For thicknesses equal to or greater than 3mm, there are two options: cold-rolled stainless steel plates and hot-rolled stainless steel plates. The default size for the former is 1500mm x 3000mm, while the latter is 1500mm x 6000mm.
Cold rolled stainless steel plates are 1-3mm thick and have standard dimensions of 1219mm x 2438mm, 1219mm x 3048mm and 1500mm x 3000mm.
If a stainless steel plate with an unconventional width and thickness is required, it must be custom made.

Please note that the standard size of stainless steel plates (or the standard length and width of steel plates) may vary from country to country and region to region. There is no mandatory national standard in this regard. The commonly used steel plate sizes mentioned above are for reference only.
