SYNOPSIS

This increases the initial cost required, requires large area requirements and a large number of machines. In a single machine, all the operations specified above can be carried out, i.e., after grinding, the drill head is removed from the key and the necessary tools such as grinding wheels, boring tools, etc. can be attached, and the operation can be performed. accomplished. By pneumatic application, the pneumatic cylinder with piston which is operated by an air compressor will give the successive action to operate this machine. With this we can achieve our industrial requirements.

INTRODUCTION

The main objective of our project is to carry out various machining operations using “ Automatic Feeding Mechanism” on a grinding machine with the help of pneumatic sources. For a developing industry, the operation carried out and the parts (or) components produced must have the lowest possible production cost, so only the industry will be profitable. In small-scale industry and automotive maintenance workshops, there are frequent needs for tightening and loosening screws, grinding, boring, grinding. Furthermore, a separate machine is required for each operation. This increases the necessary initial cost, requires large area requirements and a large number of machines. In our project the above complicated ones are fixed.

Why PNEUMATIC?

Mechanization is broadly defined as the replacement of manual effort by mechanical force. Pneumatics is an attractive means for low-cost mechanization, especially for sequential (or) repetitive operations. Many factories and plants already have a compressed air system, which is capable of supplying the necessary energy (or) and control system (although equally pneumatic control systems can be economical and can be applied with advantage to other forms of energy). .

The main advantages of a fully pneumatic system are generally economical and simple, the latter reducing maintenance to a low level. It can also present notable advantages in terms of security.

WORKING PRINCIPLE

The compressed air from the compressor is used as the power medium for this operation. The double-acting pneumatic cylinder used. Air from the compressor enters the four-way junction. From four-way junctions, an air path enters the cylinder unit. On the side, the barrel with reed arrangement is perforated. The other form of air enters the solenoid valve.

The solenoid valves function throughout the correct air time range. From the solenoid valve, air enters the double-acting pneumatic cylinder through the flow control valve. With the solenoid valve turned on, the grinding head automatically lowers and the grinding operation takes place. After some time, the solenoid valve is OFF; the grinding head is automatically released.
