SYNOPSIS
We have produced this powerful yet easily portable electric pea sheller that will certainly save you a lot of time and effort in the task of shelling peas and beans. First created by Lee Manufacturing Company in 1976, many thousands have been made with plywood. Now, our electric pea sheller, Mr. (Mr. Pea Sheller) is constructed of durable and great-looking aluminum, which makes it much easier to clean after shelling a basket of beans.
Measuring approximately 16″ long and 9″ tall (weighs less than 20 pounds), this pea sheller is small enough to store easily and move from the kitchen counter to the dining table to the patio without much effort. However, its powerful 1/15 horsepower motor will make quick work of shelling peas. Plug into any outlet and you're ready to start working. Our peeling rollers have “teeth” or grooves. They grab the bean pods and pull them.
INTRODUCTION
Shell beans need warm soil and require a growing season with average temperatures between 70-80 degrees Fahrenheit (MEN, 2010). No matter which variety is grown on the farm, it is essential that beans have well-drained soil rich in organic matter. The pH should vary between 6.0 and 7.5 – lime can be worked into the soil if the soil is very acidic. As I learned, legumes are capable of fixing their own nitrogen, so it is essential that when growing shell beans there is no excess fertilizer added to the plots (MEN, 2010). Overfertilizing beans will result in lots of lush green leaves and foliage, but few beans produced.

The bean peeler works on the principle of two-point folding. The rotation of the driven rollers is used to feed the metal through the rollers through the frictional forces present between the surface of the rollers and the grains. No lubricant is used when its presence interferes with the adhesion ability.
Bean peeling machine essentially consists of two rollers, used to manufacture circular components like cylinders. The bean peeler, which must be formed into a cylindrical shape, is present on the edge by hammering. To start the operation easily and avoid planes at the beginning and ends of the laminated form.
