ABSTRACT
The automatic gate is one of the most useful things to use in companies, colonies, collages and schools. There is some type of gate operation such as screw sliding or rack and pinion, piston operated, rotary. The project is available for some type of operation and is also more expensive when the cost of installation and maintenance is not yet considered. Most of the products we use in our country are imported from foreign countries. The objectives of this project are to study, analyze and develop a new mechanism that is cheap, safe, easily accessible and simple to install. Here, different types of mechanisms are used to operate the gate. These methods are finite element modeling and mechanical design concepts and theories. So we have to analyze the voltage, load and other design related things to select the material,
material size. Therefore, the durability assessment results are significant to reduce the cost and improve the reliability of the product. To improve the designed mechanism, vibration factors are given and more features are provided.

INTRODUCTION
Gates are commonly used nowadays in residential and industrial areas. A gate is an entry point to a space surrounded by walls. Gates can prevent or control the entry or exit of vehicles and human crowds. Today, many doors are opened by an automated gate operator, whose gates come with many special features. The need for automatic gates has increased in recent times. The system described here is the actuator to control the gate movement automatically. The automatic gate described here automates entrances to residential parking lots, organizations, automotive terminals and public parking lots. It uses remote control convenience to lessen the stress of manually opening and closing the gate and lessen the need for manpower. The gates work with many features like forward direction, reversing direction, automatic stop when problem occurs and when detecting moving parts around it.
These gates come with different types of mechanisms such as sliding gate, swing gate, folding gate and barrier gate. These mechanisms have their own working principle and characteristics, but the design of automatic gates seems limited in the local market. Most of the product is supplied by an external supplier. whose cost is higher and does not generate. Cost study and design of new mechanisms can be marketable to the customer at a lower cost, and new automatic gate mechanism innovations can improve local design capability.

PROJECT SCOPE

The scope of this project is to study different types of mechanisms and work on the main mechanisms. These mechanisms include sliding gate. Design and sketches in close up view, are compared with the best design and choose the best design. The design must consider portability and cost. Based on the project, a prototype is built for approximate visualization of the mechanism. And also ensure that the mechanism can withstand high torque
