EN 1.4404 Stainless Steel (X2CrNiMo17-12-2)
Material EN 1.4404 (Stainless Steel , therefore, the weldability and corrosion resistance of 1.4404 stainless steel are better than 1.4401. The chemical composition of materials 1.4404 and 1.4401 contains molybdenum (Mo), while EN 1.4301 (X5CrNi18-10) and 1.4307 (X2CrNi18-9) do not. Molybdenum improves the heat resistance of steel and resists pitting and crevice corrosion in environments containing chlorides or other halides.
