Steel 20MnCr5 (material DIN 1.7147)
20MnCr5 steel (material 1.7147) is a European standard carburized steel (hardening steel) with high strength and toughness and good hardenability. The quenching deformation is small, the low temperature toughness and machinability are good, but the welding performance is poor. It is generally used after carburizing quenching or quenching and tempering. (For specifications and datasheet, see tables below)
1.7147 steel is used to manufacture and refill large-section hardened parts and small-section carburized parts. It can also be used in the manufacture of medium and small parts with medium load and low impact, such as gears, shafts, spindles, friction wheels and gears of variable speed equipment, and governor sleeve, etc.
