Safety Operating Procedures for Sawing Machines

1. Before use, check the operation of the air saw to ensure that the lubrication, cooling system and vise are working properly.

2. The material to be cut must be firmly clamped, especially when multiple pieces are being clamped together. Check that all connections are tight.

3. If the material to be cut is heavily bent, do not clamp multiple pieces together; instead, clip them one by one before cutting.

4. When lifting or unloading long materials, pay attention to the surrounding area for people and use a support rack for materials longer than the bed surface. When cutting heavy materials, use a counterweight chain to secure any protruding parts. More than two people must operate and coordinate their actions under the command of one person.

5. Choose appropriate cutting specifications based on material, variety and hardness. For materials with high hardness, anneal them before sawing.

6. If the saw blade deviates, correct it immediately. Make sure the saw blade is properly tightened to the saw frame to prevent it from breaking.

7. When cutting thin materials, stack them to increase the thickness or add thick pressure plates at both ends and reduce the feed rate to avoid breaking the saw blade.

8. If the saw blade breaks in the middle, turn off the power first before replacing it. Turn the workpiece over and cut a new saw cut.

9. Cover the circular saw blade with a protective cover. Avoid approaching the rotating saw blade with your hands or head.

10. Categorize and neatly stack finished cut materials, ensuring stability, preventing falls, collapses and blocked passages.

Employment Requirements

Operators must be employees who have received professional training to operate the sawing machine.

Employees who have not received training or who have not carefully read and understood this specification are strictly prohibited from operating the sawing machine. Violators will receive severe punishments and any consequences resulting from their actions will be their responsibility.

Pre-start inspection

Confirm that the power cord is intact.

Make sure that starting the sawing machine will not affect the safety of the surrounding area.

Safe operation

Turn on the cooling water source and confirm that there is cutting fluid; if not, add it.

Adjust the speed control lever of the vertical sawing machine to the upper position, turn on the power of the saw frame, and the saw frame will begin to rise. After stopping, secure the material on the table.

Then adjust the speed control lever to the lowered position and the saw frame descends, paying attention to control the descending speed.

When it drops to a position where the saw blade is relatively close to the material, adjust the handle to stop the saw frame, turn on the power to the saw frame, and the saw frame will move.

Adjust the handle to the appropriate downward position, turn on the cutting fluid and begin sawing the material.

During the sawing process, pay attention to the speed at which the saw frame descends; if it's too fast, slow down.

The surface of the sawn material must be padded with cardboard or wooden boards to prevent damage from clamping, and the material must be laid flat to ensure that the cut is perpendicular.

Operators are strictly prohibited from placing any part of their hands, head or body under the saw frame. Any part of their bodies should not be closer than 20 cm to the saw structure.

Before sawing the material, the operator must have a detailed understanding of the size of the material. Before clamping the material for sawing, the operator must measure whether the size of the material is accurate.

Equipment maintenance

After use, the operator must turn off all power to the saw, clean the equipment and remove sawdust from the work area and surrounding environment.

Return tools and accessories.

Inject oil into the guide rail daily and lubricate the gear pair.

Check all wires monthly to ensure they are intact; otherwise, replace them.

Replace the hydraulic oil in the speed control box every six months.
