In 2023, Metinvest's Zaporozhye companies – Zaporizhstal, Zaporizhzhneupor, Zaporozhkoks and Zaporozhye Foundry and Mechanical Plant – transferred a total of more than 2.1 billion UAH in taxes and fees to budgets of all levels. The Zaporizhstal press service reported this.

In the structure of taxes and fees in 2023, the largest in terms of volume of deductions were deductions for the single personal income tax and the single social contribution. Furthermore, a significant portion of deductions falls on the payment of environmental and land taxes. Revenues to local budgets amount to more than 818 million UAH.

“Underutilization of capacities, shortage of qualified personnel, blockade of sea ports and other challenges are the realities of 2023 in which Ukraine's metalworkers worked. Despite this, every second ton of cast iron, steel and rolled products produced in Ukraine last year was metal produced by Zaporizhstal. This is our steel support for Ukraine on the path to victory, so we continue to work to feed the national economy, support the country's defense capabilities, provide employment to industry specialists and take care of the team, finance and bring humanitarian projects to life ”, notes the general director of Zaporizhstal. At the end of 2022, Metinvest factories in Zaporizhia paid 3.4 billion UAH in taxes and fees, almost 820 million UAH of this amount was transferred to local budgets.

We would like to remind you that Zaporozhkoks, Zaporozhogneupor, ZLMZ and Zaporizhstal, under martial law, refused tax benefits of more than 350 million UAH in favor of the State. More than 200 million UAH was allocated to local budgets.

As previously reported, Metinvest, taking into account associated companies and joint ventures, transferred 14.6 billion UAH in taxes and fees to budgets of all levels in Ukraine in 2023. Since the beginning of the large-scale war, the company allocated 4.8 billion UAH to help Ukraine and its citizens, of which more than 2.5 billion UAH went to the needs of the army.
