Steel angle weight table in kg

The weight of angle steel can be calculated in several ways, including using theoretical weight tables, online calculators or specific formulas. We can summarize several different calculation methods and formulas.

Firstly, the theoretical weight of angle steel can be calculated using the cross-sectional dimensions and material density. Specifications for angle steel are generally expressed in millimeters as width x width x thickness, for example, “∠30×30×3” denotes equal angle steel with a width and thickness of 30 millimeters and 3 millimeters, respectively.

The formula to calculate the theoretical weight of the steel angle is:

weight per meter = 0.00785 (width + width – thickness) thickness.

This formula applies to most situations, but it is important to note that actual weight may vary slightly.

For specific specifications of angle steel, such as 40X40 angle steel with a thickness of 4 mm, the weight per meter can be calculated using its density ρ = 7,850 kilograms/cubic meter.

Additionally, there are dedicated equal angle steel theoretical weight tables that provide the theoretical weight per meter for different specifications of angle steel, for example, the theoretical weight per meter for equal angle steel 20203 is 0.889 kg.
