Stainless steel chemical composition table

The elemental chemical composition of stainless steel is mainly composed of Ferrum (Fe) and Chromium (Cr), other alloying elements in the chemical composition also include Carbon (C), Silicon (Si), Manganese (Mn), Phosphorus (P), Sulfur (S), Nickel (Ni), Molybdenum (Mo), Titanium (Ti), Nitrogen (N) and Cuprum (Cu), etc. Only when the percentage composition of Cr reaches a certain value does the steel show corrosion resistance. Therefore, stainless steel metal generally has a minimum chromium content of 10.5%.

The following table lists the chemical composition of stainless steel alloys, including austenitic SS 304, 304L 316, 316L, 321, 303, 302, 301, 904L, 201, etc., martensitic SS 440A, 440B, 440C, 420 etc. , ferritic SS 430, duplex stainless steel 2205, 2507, 329, etc.

Note: Maximum “ “, unless the range (Min-Max) or minimum (≥) is indicated.
