Technology may hold some of the keys to unlocking this privacy-first approach (think blockchain, cloud computing, and AI all working in unison to ensure privacy and security for all data). However, there is a human component that is fundamental to the mix. That is, until we all adopt this mindset, people's distrust will continue to be a major obstacle to data-driven innovation.
