Troubleshooting Guillotine Shear Failures: Expert Tips

Main engine cannot be started

Causes:

  • Emergency stop shutdown
  • 1QF1 off
  • Lack of phase
  • Hydraulic oil cannot be extracted

Solutions:

  • Turn on the emergency stop switch
  • Close switch 1QF1
  • Check the circuit
  • Check if the filter is blocked

NCRDY is not displayed

Causes

  • CNC system start switch is not activated
  • X-axis, shear angle and clearance are not set correctly

Solutions

  • Activate the NC system start switch
  • Press the steering wheel control key once and move the cursor to the relevant positions to check which X, A and G are not set correctly and analyze the cause.

The X axis does not work correctly

Causes:

  • Servo drive alarm
  • 1QF3 not closed
  • Failure of power line, encoder line or servo motor

Solutions:

  • Check the cause of the alarm (see notes)
  • Close 1QF3
  • Check the wiring.

The size of the X axis is 5mm and 10mm larger or smaller than the normal state

Causes:

Inaccurate position location when returning to the reference point.

Solutions:

  • Shut down and restart.
  • Move the sensor from the reference point 1-2 mm or adjust the sensor detection distance.

The blanking size is different from the actual programmed size

Causes:

  • Caused by manual feeding
  • Machine tool rear stop movement

Solutions:

  • Try feeding and grooming again
  • Adjust the X reference point

The machine cannot fall

Causes:

  • Stuck down valve
  • No signal to downstream valve
  • No main pressure

Solutions:

  • Check the descent valve
  • Check the control circuit
  • Check the main pressure valve

No main pressure

Causes:

  • Main engine not started.
  • The main pressure valve is damaged or inoperative.
  • PLC control circuit failure.

Solutions:

  • Start the main engine.
  • Replace or clean the main pressure valve and check the control valve coil circuit.
  • Check the PLC controller.

Slider does not fall after pedal is pressed

Causes

  • The controller has no “ncrdy” signal
  • Loose line
  • PLC without signal output

Solutions

  • Check that there is no “ncrdy” reason
  • Check and connect the relevant circuits according to the electrical schematic diagram
  • Check PLC controller
