Nadella bearings are used in many racing car applications due to their small size, low weight and high load capacity. The “combined” design features needle rollers arranged axially around the hole for rotation, plus another set of needle rollers arranged radially at one end for pushing. A common use for this style is in rocker pins on cars with internal suspension. Two bearings are typically pressed into the steering wheel on each side, with the radial bearings facing outward.
Nadella combination bearings require lubrication before use. A high quality lithium, EP or synthetic based bearing grease is recommended when these bearings are used as suspension pins. Higher rotational speeds with lower load (such as supporting rotating shafts within machines) may require oil lubrication.

*Note: To achieve rated capacity and service life, mating surfaces must have a smooth finish with Rockwell hardness between C58 and C64. Commercially available screws are too soft to be used as a stud (grade 8.8 will provide less than 15% of the dynamic load capacity). A better design would be to install a hardened bushing between the screw and the bearing.
