TE Connectivity (TE), a connectivity and sensor provider, has launched a new series of V0 cable ties that improve cable management and protection in a wide range of applications — including wind farms, substations, data centers, railways and metro and much more .
As energy demand increases, so does the complexity of cable systems. Missing or unreliable cable management solutions can lead to large economic losses arising from asset damage that occurs under short circuit fault conditions.
Flame retardant, halogen-free and pre-assembled, TE cable clamps protect assets and increase personnel safety.
Available in single, double and trefoil models, TE cable clips have flat mount, support nut and center mount options. The mid-mount varieties can be used flexibly for curves as well as straight runs. The flat design also allows for stacking configurations.
Pre-assembled versions are also available and can significantly simplify installation and reduce installation time. Interlocking EPDM molded inserts provide a strong grip and absorb any cable expansion, contraction and vibration, and the clamps are securely closed with stainless steel hardware.
TE cable clips offer impressive durability. They are made from a V0 polymer, which is impact resistant, UV stabilized, halogen free, corrosion resistant and flame retardant. If exposed to flames, TE cable clamps do not release toxic gases and are not damaged. They perform well under extreme temperatures of -40° to +120° C (-40° to +248° F) and provide high resistance to electromechanical forces during short circuit conditions.
These devices are suitable for low, medium and high voltage power cables. The product's performance against UV exposure exceeds the requirements of the latest revision of the IEC 61914 standard.
