Software République adiciona mais seis start-ups à sua incubadora

Software République adds six more start-ups to its incubator

Software République, an open innovation ecosystem for smart, safe and sustainable mobility, founded by Atos, Dassault Systèmes, Orange, Renault Group, STMicroelectronics and Thales, announced that six new start-ups will join its incubator, bringing the total for 10 start-ups within its program.

Launched in March 2022, the tailor-made incubator program has a dual purpose: to accelerate joint projects with the selected start-ups and also to enhance open innovation by the six founding companies.

Two such start-ups are CORE for Tech, a deep technology company that measures and estimates drowsiness while driving, and Basemark, a software company that offers development tools for the automotive industry. Both come together as part of Software République's Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) project, which aims to improve the driver and passenger experience by developing new features using the customer's own smartphone or tablet.

As part of the BYOD project, under the impetus of its first customer Dacia, Software République is working with CORE for Tech to develop a unique feature to enrich Dacia's Media Control application. This new feature suggests when and where to make rest stops along the route, to help drivers plan their journey safely. Based on a unique algorithm on the market combined with camera-based technology, it takes into account the driver's physiological conditions, the route of the journey and the travel conditions (weather, traffic, type of road).

Software République plans to further develop this feature and others within the BYOD project to deliver innovative use cases for the automotive industry. These use cases will be available to all vehicle manufacturers and fleet companies.

The two start-ups incubated as part of the BYOD project are:

  • Base brand offers tools for developing software-defined vehicles. The start-up is the developer of Rocksolid Core – the world's first end-to-end automotive operating system and platform covering all vehicle functions for software-defined vehicles. Applications built with Rocksolid Core can run on many different underlying hardware.
  • CORE for technology increases driver safety by providing predictive intelligence on fatigue and drowsiness. His solution not only predicts drowsiness, but also does so in relation to the journey to be taken.

The Software République incubator will integrate four other start-ups:

  • CommuniThings is a smart parking company active in on-street parking guidance and control. Its IoT platform consists of ground sensor or camera detection and a rich portfolio of services for end-user guidance and parking enforcement. A pioneer in electric vehicle parking management, CommuniThings addresses electric vehicle parking reservation, payment and optimization of parking space usage.
  • Understand is a German start-up that provides AI-enabled virtual sensors. This technology can replace and simulate existing hardware sensors in vehicles and improve available vehicle data. The insights produced by virtual sensors enable predictive maintenance and new service opportunities for vehicle OEMs.
  • Entropy supports territories in optimizing shared mobility services. Its Artificial Intelligence model predicts the mobility needs of the population of today and tomorrow. Promotes a transport offer that is as close as possible to users' needs, in order to respond to our social and environmental challenges.
  • Neovya accelerates the transition to a smoother, safer and more sustainable mobility system by providing specialized mapping, data analysis and simulation software solutions. Its main solution is Neovya Hubsim, a collaborative web platform that allows territorial stakeholders to understand issues, test projects indefinitely and make informed decisions.
