NVIDIA announced an extensive collaboration with the Tata Group to provide AI computing infrastructure and platforms for developing AI solutions. The collaboration will bring next-generation AI capabilities within the reach of thousands of organizations, enterprises, AI researchers and hundreds of startups in India.
The companies will work together to build an AI supercomputer powered by the next-generation NVIDIA GH200 Grace Hopper Superchip for best-in-class performance.
“The global race for generative AI is in full swing,” said Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA. “Data centers around the world are moving to GPU computing to build energy-efficient infrastructures to support the exponential demand for generative AI.
“We are delighted to partner with Tata as it expands its cloud infrastructure service with NVIDIA AI supercomputing to support the exponential demand from startups for generative AI and large language model processing.” Huang said.
Tata Communications and NVIDIA will develop an AI cloud in India with the aim of providing critical infrastructure that enables the next computing lifecycle. Tata Communications' robust global network combined with the AI cloud will empower businesses to transfer data through the AI cloud at high speeds, enabling them to effectively bring the AI cloud to every company's doorstep.
TCS will utilize AI infrastructure and capabilities to build and process generative AI applications. The partnership with NVIDIA will further enable TCS to collaborate with its customers to drive reimagination with an AI-first approach.
Additionally, TCS will upskill its workforce of 600,000 by leveraging the partnership.
This partnership will also catalyze AI-led transformation across Tata Group companies, from manufacturing to consumer businesses.
“The impact of AI and machine learning will be profound across every industry and every aspect of our lives,” said N. Chandrasekaran, Chairman, Tata Sons. “This is a key transformational trend of the decade and all companies must prepare to make this transition to AI. Our partnership with NVIDIA will democratize access to AI infrastructure, accelerate the development of AI solutions, and enable the “upskilling” of AI talent at scale. The Tata Group’s presence across sectors, coupled with NVIDIA’s deep capabilities, offers countless opportunities for collaboration to advance India’s AI ambition.”
