As a key component of the cloud-connected services platform, Data Insights with cutting-edge diagnostics is designed to provide data-driven diagnostics to help Mahindra better understand and improve the performance of its SUVs in real-world environments.

Used during pre-production vehicle testing, Mahindra will benefit from accessing real-time analysis of vehicle data to discover and correct errors, resulting in cost savings and accelerated development processes.

Mahindra will be the first global automaker to use Data Insights with cutting-edge diagnostics, which is available on the Snapdragon Digital Chassis platform.

Data Insights with cutting-edge diagnostics enables automakers to:

  • Collect and analyze information about issues encountered during development and testing, such as system and application errors and crashes, memory exhaustion, and more.
  • In near real-time, it flags and prioritizes unresponsive vehicle systems for engineers to resolve issues with standard in-car safety and infotainment systems.
  • Store, search, archive and filter data logs in the cloud.

“We are excited to announce our technology collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies. Their proven experience in developing connected services and technologies for global automakers makes this relationship invaluable,” said R.Velusamy, President, Automotive Technology and Product Development, Mahindra & Mahindra. “By using Data Insights with cutting-edge diagnostics for real-time data collection and analysis, we are confident that our collective efforts with Qualcomm Technologies will help revolutionize the testing cycle of current and next-generation Mahindra SUVs, ultimately helping Ultimately, our company achieves more continuous results and development of cost-effective vehicles.

This technology collaboration is an extension of the existing relationship between Mahindra and Qualcomm Technologies. The companies recently worked together to provide Snapdragon Cockpit platforms for the Scorpio-N and XUV700 SUVs to deliver transformative, world-class in-vehicle experiences for both drivers and passengers.

Leveraging scalable Snapdragon Cockpit platforms based on artificial intelligence (AI), these SUVs offer new levels of personalization and natural interaction between the vehicle and its driver, as well as virtual assistance, ultra-HD and immersive audio and visual experiences among other features .

“We are excited to expand our relationship with Mahindra to now equip their vehicle testing and production with Data Insights with cutting-edge diagnostics from our cloud-connected services platform,” said Nakul Duggal, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Automotive Computing and cloud from Qualcomm. “We are proud to work side by side and support Mahindra as they continue to develop and launch their next-generation vehicles, as well as continue to offer world-class driving experiences to their customers.”
