Vicor's DCM ChiP DC-DC converters are isolated, regulated DC-DC converters, operating from an unregulated, wide-range input to generate an isolated output. These DC-DC converters use high-frequency zero-voltage switching (ZVS) topology that helps provide high efficiency over a specified input line range. DCM DC-DC converters feature 93.6% peak efficiency, up to 600 W, 25 A continuous power supply, power density up to 1239 W/in3, and a wide input range. These DCM converters provide over voltage (OV), under voltage (UV), over current (OCP), short circuit (SCP) and thermal protection.
DCM CHiP converters utilize thermal and density benefits to provide flexible thermal management options with low upper and lower thermal impedances. These DC-DC converters and downstream products support power distribution, providing superior power system performance and connectivity from multiple unregulated power sources to the point of charge. DCM converters operate in the Class T temperature range of -40°C to +125°C and are RoHS compliant. Typical applications include industrial, process control, transportation/heavy equipment, defense and aerospace.
