Como a Internet das Coisas está revolucionando a saúde

How the Internet of Things is revolutionizing healthcare

The future of IoT in healthcare looks brighter than ever, especially with the hints we can already see all around us.

eye surgery with impressive precision. Although they haven't been widely adopted, the healthcare industry already has a symbiotic relationship with robots, so we can expect these little robots to become more common in the near future.

Integrated IoT is the key

All of the above devices (and all IoT devices, in fact) offer more value when they are integrated into a smart network that exceeds them and their connections. Rather than just performing tasks autonomously, healthcare IoT devices need to be connected to other solutions (primarily AI, but also augmented reality, 5G, and edge computing) to make a bigger difference in medical practices and patients' lives.

This is because a more sophisticated digital environment provides a deeper understanding of the body, its conditions, ailments and illnesses, combining monitoring capabilities with real-time analytical algorithms. This integration is not only incredible for understanding our bodies better – it can actually save lives by providing vital information that allows for faster, more accurate treatments.

In short, IoT devices for healthcare need to go beyond mere connectivity and enter into true integration that can provide more value to these devices and bring better solutions closer to patients. Given the digital acceleration we are experiencing during the pandemic, this dream seems closer than ever.
