Samsung Electronics announced the launch of Samsung Wallet, a new platform that allows Galaxy users to organize digital keys, boarding passes, ID cards and more in a single easy-to-use, secure mobile app.
Samsung Wallet is protected by Samsung Knox defense-grade security and leverages an open Galaxy ecosystem, integrating with Samsung Blockchain Wallet to easily monitor cryptocurrencies and SmartThings to unlock doors.

More than a payment service
Samsung Wallet offers users a refined interface and one-tap access to their payment cards, loyalty cards, membership cards and more. Samsung Wallet also incorporates Samsung Pass functionality, which securely stores passwords and allows users to log into apps and services quickly and easily.
It even helps users quickly monitor their digital asset portfolio by checking the value of their cryptocurrencies across multiple exchanges in one place. Later this year, Samsung Wallet will also begin supporting official IDs such as mobile driver's licenses and student IDs.
Access to home and transport
With the integration of SmartThings and Samsung's partnerships with renowned home security companies, users can easily add digital home keys to conveniently lock and unlock their doors with a Galaxy device.
Samsung Wallet also supports digital car keys on select models from BMW, Genesis and Hyundai, which allow users to lock and unlock cars, start engines and more. And Samsung's partnership with Korean Air allows Korean Air boarding passes to be stored in Samsung Wallet for easy access, making boarding a flight simple and convenient.
Protected by Samsung Knox
Samsung Wallet is protected by a defense-grade security platform, Samsung Knox. Protections include fingerprint recognition and encryption that help protect users' sensitive data so only device owners can access their important information. Along with Samsung Knox, certain important sensitive items in Samsung Wallet are stored in an isolated environment – the built-in Secure Element, which also helps protect against digital and physical hackers.
