243 million UAH went to the state budget and 2.2 billion UAH – to local budgets
PJSC ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih paid UAH 4.1 billion in taxes and fees to budgets of all levels of Ukraine in 2023.
243 million UAH went to the state budget and 2.2 billion UAH – to local budgets. The company also transferred almost UAH 751 million of one-time social contribution (SSC) and UAH 856 million of value-added tax on raw material imports.
In the structure of taxes and fees in 2023, the largest value is property tax. Thus, the local community of Kryvyi Rih received more than 1.4 billion UAH in land taxes from the company. This represents UAH 280 million more compared to 2022.
In 2022, the company paid UAH 8.8 billion in taxes and fees to the budgets of all levels of Ukraine. This is 39.7% lower compared to 2021. Thus, payment volume in 2023 decreased by 53.4% year-on-year.
As previously reported, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih reduced steel production by 18.5% in 2023 compared to 2022 – to 1 million tons. Iron production decreased by 7.2% year on year – to 1.5 million tonnes. Rolled steel production totaled 0.9 million tons, a drop of 19.2% year-on-year.
ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih is a full-cycle steel mill in Ukraine. Its production capacity is projected to produce more than 6 million tons of steel, 5 million tons of rolled products and 5.5 million tons of pig iron annually. The project generates more than 20 thousand jobs.
