INTRODUCTION
Method for controlling a gear shift of an automobile, an automobile comprising an internal combustion engine; an automatic transmission connected to an engine output rotation shaft so as to transmit the rotational output of the engine to the driving wheels of the automobile through any one selected from a plurality of transmission ratios; a load device selectively connectable to the output rotation shaft of the engine through selective connection means; and means for generating a gear shift control signal for selecting one of the automatic transmission gear ratios in accordance with one of the operating conditions of automobile and engine method comprising the steps of controlling selectively connecting means when means of generating gear shift signal generate the control signal in such a way that selective connection means connect the load device to the output rotation shaft of the engine.

This design emphasizes minimizing harmful efforts when pressing the gear lever. The gear is engaged by pressing the lever and disengaged by pressing the same lever in the opposite direction under the driver's control. In road vehicles, the gear mechanism used is with a lever operated by the driver's hand, which requires some effort to activate the gear lever and requires attention when driving the vehicle (especially in heavy vehicles).
In our project, the control switch is used in place of the gear lever in vehicles or automobiles and the gear lever is coupled with an electromagnet solenoid to operate the gear lever. The electromagnet solenoid is a switch operated by the electrical power source from the vehicle's battery. Now the project mainly focuses on designing and demonstrating the switch operated gear mechanism unit to operate the gear lever to engage or disengage the gear.
Our design achieves greater safety, reduces human effort, reduces workload, reduces vehicular accident, reduces worker fatigue and reduces maintenance cost.

Working
When starting the vehicle, the gear must be in the neutral position. For neutral, the green gear shift switch is activated and the vehicle is started. To engage gear key no. 1 is pressed and to disengage gear switch no. 2 is pressed.

CONSTRUCTION:-
1. 100CC 4-stroke engine is mounted on the frame.
2. Gear shift lever – is attached to the engine.
3. Electromagnetic solenoid – It is coupled to the gear shift lever.
4. Gear shift switch panel – This is connected to the electromagnetic solenoid.
5. Battery – It is attached to the gear shift switch panel.
6. Accelerator – It is attached to the handle.
7. Clutch lever – It is fixed to the handle.

In which coil is present between these two coils, an iron rod is present. When we supply electrical energy to this coil, it generates magnetic flux and due to this magnetic flux, the iron rod is pushed into this solenoid. Gear Shift Switch Panel – This device controls the flow of current.

3. Solenoid- Solenoid is a device. The structure is something like a tube. In which coil is present between these two coils, an iron rod is present. When we give electrical power to this coil it generates magnetic flux and due to this magnetic flux the iron bar pushes into this solenoid.
4. Gear Shift Switch Panel – This device controls the flow of current.
5. Battery – This device stores electrical current.
6. Throttle – Use to increase engine acceleration.
