SISTEMA AUTOCENTRADO PARA MANDRIL DE QUATRO MANDÍBULAS

SELF-CENTERING SYSTEM FOR FOUR-JAW CHUCK

SELF-CENTERING SYSTEM FOR FOUR-JAW CHUCK

SYNOPSIS:

A material in a lathe chuck is clamped using compression jaws. A typical chuck has four jaws. Because in general turning processing, we make a column part as the center of a material. So the four-jaw chuck is very convenient.

FUNCTION:

When we make an offset part or drill an offset hole, a four-jaw chuck is used. In the case of the four-jaw chuck, the position of each jaw can be precisely and optionally adjusted, and the chuck can fix the optional position of the material (center position). Four proximity sensors are used to position the four jaws. Jaws can be moved by connected relay. A chuck body centered and rotatable about an axis of the body; four jaws moved smoothly towards the central position. Four jaw chucks have independently adjustable jaws. Can be used to center parts that are not round. Each jaw is adjusted accordingly and the part is checked to be centered.

BENEFITS:

• Can be used to fix irregularly shaped parts.

• Can be used to center parts with great precision.

• They can be used to deliberately keep a piece off-center.

• They can fix the part more firmly. This is a valuable feature when machining cams, crankshafts and similar parts.

DISADVANTAGE:

• It is difficult to adjust the position of the material.

• It takes a lot of time to change the chuck.

• The four-jaw chuck is not always used except in unavoidable cases.

APPLICATION:

• Many machine tools such as lathes, grinding machines, milling machines and even numerical control machines.

• The stress on each component to make a jaw fit securely into a workpiece can be minimized, thus reducing the need for high-strength steels in many of the chuck components.

• Quick and safe fixing of car and light truck wheels (Replaces tires for trucks, buses and agricultural tires)
