AUTOMATIC SOLAR TRACKING BASED ON ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

TO AIM:

Design and implement a solar tracking system based on artificial intelligence.

SYNOPSIS:

Solar energy is the main source of energy. Solar energy can be converted into electrical energy throughout the day and stored in the battery. But the efficiency of the solar panel will be high only once a day, that is, in the afternoon. This is because; the sun is perpendicular to the solar panel. If the solar panel is always perpendicular to the sun throughout the day, maximum efficiency can be achieved. This is a solar tracking system.

The electrical signal from the solar panel is supplied as a reference voltage to the microcontroller. The microcontroller everywhere compares this signal input from the solar panel. The microcontroller will calculate the maximum efficiency and drive the motor in that direction through the motor driver. The microcontroller is a digital IC. The signal from the Microcontroller will be analog and will be converted into digital through the analog to digital converter.

Then, the electrical signal from the solar panel is stored in the battery through a protection circuit. Thus, maximum efficiency can be stored in the battery throughout the day.
