ABSTRACT:

Nowadays, machines are largely controlled by embedded systems. To meet the need for an explosive population, economical and effective control of machines is necessary. Our design even rotates to easily drill in any direction. So that the job setup operation is not complicated and also reduces the operation setup time. It also takes into consideration the most effective method of manually controlling the drill. Materials such as wood, plastic and light metals can be drilled with this. The workpiece is fixed on the work table, which has a movable device.

The drill press is one of the most important machine tools in a workshop. In a drilling machine, holes can be drilled quickly and at low cost. The hole is generated by the rotating edge of a cutting tool known as a drill, which exerts great force on the workpiece fixed to the table. As the machine tool exerts vertical pressure to create a hole, it is loosely called a “drill.” Drilling is the operation of producing a circular hole in the part using a rotating cutter called a drill, the most common type of drill is the twist drill.

The machine tool used for drilling is called a drill press. The drilling operation can also be carried out on a lathe, in which the drill is fixed to the tailstock and the work is clamped and rotated by a chuck. This angle drilling is performed for drilling from different angles in work work. Indexing plate and up/down mechanism are available in this angle drill.

Construction of drilling machines

The basic parts of a drill are base, column, drill head and spindle. The cast iron base can rest on a bench, pedestal or floor depending on the project.   • The working operation of this angle drill is initially started from the universal motor through an AC power supply.

  • A locknut is attached to the index plate to prevent angle deviation during drilling.
  • According to the drilling need, it will tilt very precisely.
  • The rotary movement of the indexing plate is given to the bevel gear.
  • This rotary motion is given to the shaft and used to rotate the drill head.
  • The cutting depth will be adjusted by the screw on the drill head frame.
  • The engine speed is controlled by the Governor.
  • After the motor is started, the desired angle and desired speed are fixed and the drilling process is carried out.
