AUTOMATIC SCRAP COLLECTION VEHICLE

The intention of this mechanical engineering project is to manufacture a scrap collector robot. Since full automation is very complex and even research facilities have not created one, it is best to design one that is operated via a wireless remote control or not.

This is a functional project and, as always, requires the help of electronics students for the control systems. This robot has 4 wheels and an arm to collect scrap. You can also move over small obstacles with the support of your arm.

Although this project may seem simple at times, it takes a lot of effort to actually create a working model. A detailed video of one of these scrap collection robots is provided below.

Project is very interesting. We are using the Tsop1738 as an IR – infrared receiver. We use relay coil to collect scrap. The coil needs 5 to 12 V DC. Better voltage – better energy collection. Robot helps us to collect scrap from every corner and everywhere.

In this project we will control robot with remote infrared sensor. We will control different functions of the moving robot. As we know the value of robotics, it can be used in the biomedical, domestic, food, leather, auto parts industries, etc. In this project we will make a remote control that will have functions to control the robot such as forward, back, right and left. There will be six functions.
