PNEUMATIC CNC AUTOMATIC DRILLING MACHINE – Mechanical design
SYNOPSIS
The pneumatic system has gained great importance in recent decades. This importance is due to its precision and cost. This convenience in operating the CNC pneumatic system made us design and manufacture this unit as per our design.
This unit, as we expect, can be operated easily with semi-skilled operators. The automatic feeding CNC pneumatic punching machine has the advantage of working at low pressure, that is, even a pressure of 6 bar is enough to operate the unit. The pressurized air passing through the tubes into the cylinder forces the piston out, the power of which through the joint is transmitted to the punch. The workpiece thus obtained is to the required dimensions and the workpiece can be collected through the earth gap provided in the die. The matrix used in this is fixed in such a way that the matrix of the required format can be used as per the requirement. This allows us to use different types of punch dies, resulting in a wide range of products. Different types of punch as per requirement can be obtained. According to the working material, the operating pressure can be varied.
INTRODUCTION
The press is the punching machine tool designed to punch letters by applying mechanical force or pressure with the help of a computer. The metal is drilled as per the desired requirement. Presses are intended exclusively for mass production and represent the fastest and most efficient way to transform a metal into a finished punched product. Press tools are used to form and cut thin metals. The operation of pressing tools can be simplified to a few simple operations involving punch and die.
There are types of Nemours presses in the engineering field, which are used to meet the requirements. We are interested in introducing the pneumatic system in presses. The main function of the machine is to form or cut thin metal or non-metal sheets using pneumatic energy. In this project, we use punching process for simple application.
WORK OPERATION
The air that enters the inlet exits through the two outlets when the computer control signal is activated. Due to the high air pressure at the bottom of the piston, the air pressure below the piston is greater than the pressure above the piston. So, this moves the piston rod upwards, which increases the effort, which is rotated by the computer unit. This acting force is passed on to the punch, which also moves downwards.
ADVANTAGES AND APPLICATIONS
1. The great advantage of the pneumatic system is the control valve that consistently applies a specified load with minimum effort.
2. From thin sheets to metal sheets can be punched into desirable shapes.
3. It can be modified to any extent to increase the effort required.
4. Its result can be properly used in the wide mechanical field.
5. Various cylinder systems can be driven according to the need for pressure effort.
6. In modern payer plants, this pneumatic system can be used to load press rolls.
7. Simpler construction than mechanical and hydraulic presses.
8. Compared to hydraulic and mechanical presses, pneumatic press is economical.
9. No current-carrying cables required.
10. No extra skills are required to operate this system.
11. The operation is very smooth and in this system we can obtain more results by applying less effort.
12. This system can be used effectively for punch marking on industrial materials, such as industry name, address or product number.
