SYNOPSIS

Pneumatics has gained great importance in recent decades. This importance is due to its precision and cost. The pneumatic punching machine has the advantage of working at low pressure. The press is the punching machine tool designed to punch by applying mechanical force or pressure. The metal is drilled as per the desired requirement. The compressed air from the compressor is controlled by the microcontroller to turn on the pneumatic system. After a few seconds delay, the controller will turn off the compressor, so that the pneumatic cylinder moves upwards, the materials are kept between the punch and the work table. Now the material is fed and the next pneumatic stroke is ready. When the material is correctly positioned, this machine is activated again.

WORKING PRINCIPLE

A punch or a punching machine is a tool used to work metal (typically steel), changing its shape and internal structure. A forging press transforms the part into a three-dimensional object, not only changing its visible shape but also the internal structure of the material. This process results in a part that is stronger than the object that was machined. Bending is a typical operation performed and occurs by a machine pressing, or applying direct pressure, to the material and forcing it to change shape. A press brake is a typical machine for this operation.

The metal is placed between the plates, and the plates are pressed together, deforming the metal into the desired shape. This can be coining, embossing or forming. A punch press is used to form holes. Progressive stamping is a manufacturing method that can encompass punching, coining, bending and various ways of modifying metal, combined with an automatic feeding system. An object sensor is kept on the table which detects the work piece and sends the corresponding signal to the microcontroller. According to the signal from the object sensor, the microcontroller turns on/off the pneumatic system. Therefore, this system is automatic.
