SYNOPSIS

There are many fields where artificial intelligence (AI) can be related to electrical linguistics, mechanics, psychology and philosophy. In our project, a microcontroller is used, which is written with a program based on a fuzzy logic algorithm, which rotates the nozzle head in that direction.

Two pneumatic cylinders and solenoid valve are provided. One cylinder is for up and down movement and another for rotary movement. The fuzzy logic algorithm used here is to spray the paint in a specific direction.

INTRODUCTION

AI as we know it today is a relative field. Even if some groundwork has been done previously. AI began during the 1940s and 1950s.

What is AI?

AI is a branch of computer science concerned with the study and creation of computer systems that exhibit some form of intelligence. The system that learns new concepts and tasks, the system that reasons and draws useful conclusions about the world around us. The system that can understand a natural language or perceive and understand a visual scene and system that performs other types of parties that require human-type intelligence.

Fuzzy logic algorithm is used to perform AI functions. FUZZY is a term that is related to the word vague or unclear, forming logical or meaningful functions based on the unclear term that is the concept.

We used this concept for the 'SPRAY PAINTING SYSTEM' project, with an electronic control unit.

BENEFITS

• Low-cost intelligent robot

• Portable size and easy to carry

• As the project is based on Microcontroller, it is compact and fast and responsive.

• No external device is used here to control it.

• The medium is air, the arm movement operation is fast.

DISADVANTAGES

• Nozzle adjustment is done manually

• This system operates on pneumatics, so we need an air tank or compressor
