RCK axle locking clamps securely connect hubs to axles, using a suitable keyless mechanical interference fit, to transmit torque or resist axial thrust. This mechanical interference uses screw tension in the shaft locking device, converted into radial pressure through inclined planes (cones). This pressure expands the axle lock to eliminate play between the hub and axle.
The coding device then uses the friction bond between the shaft lock and the shaft/hub to create a zero-play connection. This connection is easily releasable to remove mechanical interference.
