CAPSTAN LATHE

TURRET LATHE

1.
The capstan lathe is limited to manufacturing work from the bar fed during the empty spindle held in a pickup and the standard machine contains a provision for fixing a jaw chuck at the end of the spindle so that bars, castings and forgings can be retained

The shaft end of this machine is externally threaded for screwing to the faceplate force plate, lathe chuck or any other work holding device suitable for the work material.
The inner hole is tapered to obtain the lathe center and proper pickup for the bar
containment.

two.
The tailstock does not provide central support for bars and lifting of shank tools. End head support is not required as short piece bar stock is used for
work production.

Furthermore, the tailstock is suitable for central bar support and lifting of shank tools. The tailstock can be bolted to the right side of the bed or
between carriage with tower slide.

3.
The capstan head moves on the capstan slide in the familiar motion by the stop, while the entire remaining unit is bolted to the right, out of the bed paths.

The turret head elevation on the slide moves longitudinally in the movement familiar to limit screws. The entire nit will be able to slide along the headboards and then lock into place.

4.
The lead screw does not yield and the thread is produced using the threading head mounted on the capstan head

Lead screw allows you to cut specific and multi-start threads to a preferred working length by single point thread cutting tool.

5. Carriage is provided with front tool post and in addition rear post.

The carriage is provided by the turret tool holder and the rear tool holder used to hold the tools.

6. It is used for mass production of small size equal parts.

Its use is intended for mass production of identical large pieces.

7. Feed rod provided for longitudinal advancement.

The feed rod is not provided for longitudinal feed.
