What is a square bar?
Square steel refers to square solid steel. Similar bars are round steel, hexagonal steel and octagonal steel.

To calculate the weight of a square steel bar, you can use the formula:
Where:
- is the weight of the bar in kg;
- is the side length of the bar in meters;
- The specific weight of steel is approximately 7850 kg/m³.
For example, if we have a square bar with a side length of 100 mm (0.1 m), the calculation would be:
Therefore, the weight of the square steel bar with a side length of 100 mm would be approximately 78.5 kg.
