Introduction to AutoCAD

It is developed and sold by Autodesk. First released in December 1982

AUTOCAD is a program developed for drawing drawings, for example, in mechanical engineering, civil engineering and topography. There may be two-dimensional design drawings in terms of (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) view in the case (drawing), which lines.

There are several programs for these purposes and there are specialized programs with which you can do 2D drawings and 3D modeling and the like.

Working in AutoCAD requires some basic knowledge of your work, and it is also good to have a prior knowledge base and knowledge of the graphics coordinate system. If you don't know the coordinate system (UCS), see the coordinate systems link. If you really want to learn how to work in AutoCAD 2007, follow this step-by-step guide by following the links, don't skip because you omit something that is important for the final result of your drawings.

AutoCad Software Technical Details:

AutoCAD is a commercial software application for 2D and 3D drafting and computer-aided drafting (CAD) – available since 1982 as a desktop application and since 2010 as a web- and cloud-based mobile application, marketed as AutoCAD 360

Developed and marketed by Autodesk, Inc.

Student versions of AutoCad software

Get 3-Year Licensed Copy for Students and Teachers Only.

http://www.autodesk.com/education/free-software/autocad

AutoCAD is licensed free of charge to qualifying students and teachers , with an 18-month renewable license available. The student version of AutoCAD is functionally identical to the full commercial version, with one exception: DWG files created or edited by a student version have an internal set of bit flags (the “educational flag”). When this DWG file is printed by any version of AutoCAD (commercial or student) prior to AutoCAD 2014 SP1, the output includes a four-sided plot stamp/banner. Objects created in the Student Version cannot be used for commercial use.

AutoCad for Android Phone:

Autodesk AutoCAD 360 is the official AutoCAD mobile app for Android.

I already mentioned this in best mechanical Android app for learning

Some of the advantages of CAD over manual drawing are:

  • There is no need to scale. All drawings are made in real size.
  • The canvas drawing area can be set to any size with the click of a button.
  • The program provides all the necessary tools.
  • Absolute accuracy can be maintained.
  • Production details can be extracted directly from the drawing.
  • Eliminates the need for full-size sets.
  • Two-dimensional and three-dimensional drawings can be produced.
  • Your work is copied and stored off your computer for safekeeping – you'll never lose your work again.
  • Drawings are stored on disk rather than in a bulky folder.
  • Scaling is almost automatic.
  • Parts of drawings can be saved and used in other drawings.
  • Some Cad software applications:

AUTOCAD is a software application for computer-aided design (CAD) and 2D and 3D drafting.

    It's very important:

    • keep a record of what is done,
    • move all orders and design quickly to production,
    • Be able to easily reference past projects.

Computer Aided Design (CAD) has completely changed the drafting business and made storing and retrieving designs much easier. However, hand drawing is still very important and provides the foundation for learning to draw.

To enhance advanced CNC technologies, Modern Edge purchased a new personal computer

    CAD/CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing) system.
