Hot rolled coils are produced from cast plates and are available in low carbon alloy, high strength, structural, high carbon and alloy grades. Metallurgy is completed above a metal's recrystallization temperature to prevent work hardening.
Thickness: 1.21mm to 4.75mm
COLD LAMINATED COILS
Cold rolled coils are run through tandem reduction or reversing mills to ensure tight thickness tolerance. Metallurgy is completed below a metal's recrystallization temperature to increase strength through stress hardening.
Thickness: 0.38mm to 2.66mm
GALVANIZED COILS
Hot rolled or cold rolled coils are bathed in molten zinc, adding a protective layer of zinc to protect from oxidation. Improved surface quality can be achieved through additional processing.
Thickness: 0.30 - 0.95mm
GALVALUME COILS
Cold rolled coils pass through a molten aluminum-zinc, adding a protective layer of aluminum-zinc alloy to protect from oxidation and provide heat resistance.
Thickness: 0.35 to 0.65mm
STAINLESS STEEL COILS
Typical uses for the stainless steel coil include heat exchangers, heating elements, flexible tubes, filtering devices, cutlery products, springs and surgical instruments. Alloy steel is produced with a minimum of 10.5% chromium content (by mass). Stainless steel is coated with a chromium oxide film to protect from internal and surface oxidation. CHESS PLATE COILS
The coils are rolled steel with a four-way safety pattern that provides traction for foot traffic. Used on platforms and projects where good grip is required, requiring a non-slip floor.
