DESIGN AND MANUFACTURE ACCIDENT AVOIDING HYDRAULIC JACK

ABSTRACT

Transportation has now been vastly increased. In ancient times, wooden wheels were used in wheels. But nowadays disc wheels are used. The wheels are covered with tires. Tires are made of rubber material. Rubber is the soft material. So that tires are punctured at high speed due to road conditions.

Indian road conditions are not comfortable for driving the vehicles. To change tires, drivers face a lot of problems. Because they have to lift the vehicle using the manual jacks. In the manual jack, they must turn the lever by applying their own manual force. It is very difficult to operate.

In addition to this manual jack, now in automobiles hydraulic jack, pneumatic jack, etc. But now we had implemented a new concept in hydraulic jacking through design. In our project, the jack that operates through the hydraulic system is composed of the following components such as pump, cylinder, handle, ram, with self-locking nut.

Working

This machine has a hydraulic cylinder and piston assembly. That works on a port-type integrated hydraulic circuit. In this circuit, there is no need for separate hydraulic houses of oil pumps, DC valves, pumps, etc. All of these things are integrated into the hydraulic cylinder itself.

System to avoid accidents

We all know that the hydraulic pump and cylinder have oil rings and sealing rings to operate the hydraulic circuit. But due to excessive load OR fatigue leads to shearing of sealing rings and oil seals. Therefore, a predictable accident can occur due to this. Therefore, we will provide the screw and nut principle in this hydraulic system to avoid accidents, which is explained in the drawing. After raising the jack, we will lower the nut onto the cylinder head. If an O-ring or oil leak occurs, the nut will cause the piston to move down.

Disadvantage

1) This system is more expensive than the conventional jack

2) Periodic maintenance is required
