304 and 316 Stainless Steel Welded Wire Mesh Rolls and Panels
Stainless steel welded wire mesh is a metal grid product with uniform openings that are usually square or rectangular. It is generally by welding the weft threads to the pre-laid warp threads one by one by an electric welding machine, and each warp thread and weft thread have a solid welding point at the intersection. Welded mesh with smaller wire diameter and openings is also called hardware fabric. Delivery conditions are generally rolls, sheets or panels, depending on the wire diameter and customer needs.
Commonly used materials
Commonly used materials for stainless steel welded wire mesh rolls and panels include SS304, 316, 304L and 316L, etc. Among them, 304 is the most commonly used material, followed by 316. When used in environments with high requirements for stress corrosion cracking, it is recommended to consider its low carbon materials 304L and 316L.
Compared with galvanized welded mesh, stainless steel is more rust resistant than galvanized material. In a humid and pollution-free environment, stainless steel can maintain its shiny surface for a lifetime, while galvanized mesh loses its rust resistance when the zinc layer is destroyed, especially the welding joints at the intersection of transverse and vertical wires .
