DIN EN 1.4305 Stainless Steel Material X8CrNiS18-9

DIN EN 1.4305 Stainless Steel Material X8CrNiS18-9

DIN EN 1.4305 stainless steel (material pitting or cavity may occur. X8CrNiS18-9 steel forms short chips during cutting and is therefore particularly suitable for machining. Due to the material properties, this stainless steel is also known as free-cutting steel.

Compared to material 1.4301, DIN 1.4305 V2A has higher sulfur content and contains 1.0% copper.

1.4305 Material Properties

The following technical sheet and specifications summarize the properties of the DIN EN 1.4305 standard, such as chemical composition, physical and mechanical properties, heat treatment, welding, etc.
