Introduction to Q460 Steel
Q460 steel is a kind of Chinese high-strength low-alloy structural steel steel, the yield strength is 460 MPa, the data is tested with 16mm diameter steel bars or steel plates, the tensile strength is 550-720 Mpa, test with steel bar Ø≤40 mm. equivalent, chemical composition and mechanical properties, see the tables below.
Properties and applications
Q460 steel has much higher strength and comprehensive and high mechanical properties in normalizing, normalizing and tempering or quenching and tempering, all deoxidized with aluminum. It is used for large-sized engineering structures and light structures that require high strength and large loads.
