35CrMo steel
35CrMo steel is a Chinese alloy steel for engineering purposes, it has high durability and creep resistance at high temperatures, and the impact resistance at low temperatures is good. The working temperature is up to 500°C, the low temperature can be -100°C, and it has high static strength and high fatigue resistance, good hardenability, no tendency to overheat, small quenching deformation and moderate machinability. However, this material presents a first type of brittleness due to tempering and the weldability is not good. It needs to be preheated to 150-400°C before welding, and heat treatment is necessary after welding to eliminate stress. Generally used after quenching and tempering treatment.
35CrMo Alloy Steel Applications
35CrMo alloy steel can be used to manufacture important parts in various machines that withstand impact, bending and high loads, such as rolling gears, crankshafts, connecting rods, fasteners, automotive engine spindles, axles, engine transmission parts, large shafts of engines, bolts for boilers with operating temperatures below 400°C, nuts below 510°C, high pressure seamless thick wall conduits for chemical machines (450-500°C, non-corrosive media).
